TRYSULL & SEISDON PARISH COUNCIL

 

PARISH COUNCIL STRUCTURE

 

Trysull & Seisdon Parish Council have nine Parish Councillors who are elected every four years.

 

The Parish Council usually meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, except August when there is no meeting, at the Village Hall in Trysull to discuss matters bought up by Councillors and residents.   Consultation documents and planning applications are also discussed and comments on local planning applications are forwarded to the local authority.

 

The Parish Clerk is employed by the Parish Council for 8 hours a week and works from home.

The duties of the Clerk is to arrange meetings and to take the minutes, carrying out all administration work arising from the meeting and presenting the accounts for audit.

 

An internal auditor is asked each year to check the accounts, income and expenditure, make a report and fill out the Audit Report.

 

The Chairman chairs the monthly Parish Council meetings and represents the Council at outside functions if required.   The Chairman liaises with the Clerk regarding any urgent matters.

 

The Vice Chairman stands in for the Chairman when he or she is unavailable.

 

All Parish Council meetings are publicised on the Council's noticeboards and on the web site.

The Parish Council has representives on the Trysull & Seisdon Playing Field Association and the Village Hall Committee

 

The Parish Council  nominate two trustees to the Trysull & Seisdon Charity.
