Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act) provides statutory rights for those requesting information together with a strong enforcement regime.  A copy of the Act is available from the HMSO Website.     A copy of the explanatory notes published with the Act is also available on that site.

Under the terms of the Act any member of the public can apply for access to information held by bodies across the public sector including Parliament, Government Departments, local authorities, health trusts, doctors’ surgeries, publicly funded museums and many other organisations.



Trysull and Seisdon Parish Council Publication Scheme

Trysull and Seisdon Parish Council has adopted the “Model Publication Scheme” as approved by the Information Commissioner.

Trysull and Seisdon Parish Council has produced a “Guide to Information” which specifies what information the Parish Council will routinely publish, in what formats that information will be available and whether the Parish Council will charge for providing the information and if so the level of charge.
